For a variety of reasons, from time-to-time, you will want a utility that allows you to know, at a glance, the number of alphabetical spaces between the letters of a word or a group of letters. Here we attempt to simplify the process.

All you need to do is to input the letters or word (using common letters) into the box below and press 'Get Number Of Spaces'.

You can position the display whereever you like. You change the "left" and "top" values in the "div" tag above to whatever values you need. 
a) "top" is the vertical distance of the top left corner of the display starting at zero. The higher the number the lower down the page.
b) "left" is the horizontal distance of the top left corner of the display starting at zero. The higher the number the further to the right of the page.
c) You can also change the color of the display and the background.
